mid-century modern home
claire thomas worked with the homeowners of the 1959 treehouse to restore it back to it’s midcentury modern original roots. with the house located in mandeville canyon they knew they wanted to stick with a green, brown, yellow + orange palette. opening up the closed off kitchen with our pacifica countertops were used in a unique way, alabaster lyc slabs along the waterfall edge were paired with alabaster lyc + myc slabs for the countertop making for a truly special design. the stunning master bath used a custom green terrazzo mix with our pacifica slabs and venice tiles, which brings in the lush hillside outside the windows. the additional bathrooms each with their own apparent personality using venice terrazzo tiles and pacifica slabs ties it all back to the original 1950s build.
